An afternoon at church

Hitty Nanny would you like to go over to church for awhile with me asks Linda. Oh yes I certainly would says Nanny hope. We cross the road in front of Linda"s house and we are at church. They are having a fall festival.


We walk toward the church basement and oh my look at those beautiful mums and pumpkins I say.




We go downstairs and tables are set up with lots of snacks to buy.




Before we leave church I ask Linda if we can go upstairs to the church. Ancestor Hitty was taken to church in her book and I wanted to see what it loooked like.

My last day in Flintstone

Hitty Nanny Hope was entertained by some of the girls and boys on her last day with us. We played a pass the pumpkin game and Nanny Hope has the.................

Hitty Nanny Hope will not be here to see what they all dress up for Halloween, so a couple share what they will be. Butch will be a magician with a hat that he pulls a bunny out of. Hitty Steffie will be a bride and Gertie a doctor.



Everyone is getting hungry so they get the hot dogs and marshmallows out. Hitty Nanny Hope is the cook for the night.




Hitty Nanny Hope gets her outfit she came in and her warm cape and hat on and getting ready to get into her home that takes her to her next stop which will be in Texas. Some of her friends wanted another picture with her.


We have so enjoyed having Hitty Nanny hope visit us here in Flintstone. We will forever remember her. We hope your---Forever mom will love you so much.

Hitty Nanny Hope Goes to School

October, 12,2011

Today Linda goes to school to volunteer and she has asked me to go with her. I would like that. We get into her car and within five minutes we are there. Here is the entrance we go in.





We go inside the doors and there is this welcoming wall .


WE then go into the office where Linda has to sign us in as volunteers. The principal, Mrs. Morgan, is there and we ask if she will let us take her picture. She was happy to do it.




Outside of the office there on a table was a very cute decoration. I asked Linda to take my picture with it.




We walk down the hallway and turn to the right and there is the volunteer room.





There is many machine that the volunteers use. There is a paper cutter, a ,laminator that they use a lot , a printer that prints I bet 100 copies in just a little time.









One teacher left us a bottle of glue for a project she needed us to do. It is almost as tall as I am.





We had to glue shapes onto these very small clothespins.



We stopped for lunch and I was looking around the table and found this little friend and we had a good talk before I went back to work.





WE had a box of books that we had to put sign in sheets in the back of them and take back to the library.







I heard a voice saying Hi Grandma and we looked around and there was Linda's great-granddaughter, Chloe. Linda asked me if I would like a picture with Chloe and I said yes. Chloe is in the fourth grade at Flintstone School.





We are getting ready to go home. I think volunteering is great. It helps the teachers to get a lot of things to help teach the children. Everyone at school was so nice to me and I will never forget my visit there.

Making the pie

Evening of Oct 10

Hitty Nanny where are you? We need to get the apples washed to start making our apple pie. oh there you are at the sink already washing the apples.




Chef Pete here are the apples. There is a whole basket of them. Will this be enough

for a pie? Oh yes , Chef Pete answered. They are so pretty. They will make a delicious pie.




Now Hitty Nanny, we will need to put the apples through this apple slicer and then into a bowl We will add sugar and cinnamon to it to help sweeten the apples and flavor them.


Then we will put the apples into a pie pan and cover with a top of pie dough.



Now we need to put the pie into a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes to bake it. it will be a pretty brown on top.



Hitty Nanny hope get your hot pads so you can take the pie out of the oven and not get burnt.



Hitty Nanny , this apple pie is beautiful and it smells so very good. Chef Pete, would you like a piece of the pie. Yes I would. Thank-you Hitty Nanny Hope.





This is the best apple pie I have tasted. Hitty Nanny Hope you have done a great job.






Hitty Nanny Hope-oh my----zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz--she is alsleep. I wonder why-





I will get your bath water ready Hitty Nanny Hope says Hitty Susan. You will feel better after a bath.


I feel so much better now. I will read a book to all of you if you like. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee says Hitty Marta who is setting in a chair waiting for the story





Oh my I am so tired I think I will turn in for the night.

Hitty Nanny Hope Arrives in Flintstone

Ringggggggggggggggg----Ringggggggggggggggggggggggggggg sounds the doorbell in Flintstone, Maryland at the the home of The Yabba Dabba Doo Hitty's home.Hitty Glenda answers the door to find Kirk, the mailman, there with some letters and a package for there person, Linda. It is from Canada say Kirk-Thanks says Glenda and she gets all excited SHE IS HERE SHE IS HERE, NANNY HOPE IS HERE FROM CANADA/


Hitty Glena precedes to open the package and then what looks like to be a suitcase. Oh what a nice suitcase this is . Hello says a small voice am I in Flintstone??? yes says Glenda, WELCOME.



A few have heard Hitty Glenda's excitement and comes out to say there hellos to there visitor.


Sunday Oct. 9, 2011-Hitty Nanny Hope is having a quiet day with the Hitty's while the person Linda goes to town. See you tomorrow says Hitty Nanny.

Wake up Hitty Nanny says Hitty Susan. Chef Pete is waiting for you to go pick some apples and show you how to make an apple pie. Wake up pleaseeeeeeeeeee.\\


Where is she , is she up says Chef Pete. No I cannot get her to get up says Hitty Susan . I think she is still tired from her trip. RIDICULOUS says Chef Pete. Hitty Nanny at once GET UP he says very stern.



Hitty nanny sits up in the bed. Who was that she asks? That was Chef Pete Susan tells her, hurry he is waiting for you outside at the apple tree.


Hitty Nanny hurries outside where she finds Chef Pete. They go up the apple tree and find some beautiful red apples. Will these do Chef she asks? Oh yes Nanny Hope lets go make a pie.
